Since its establishment in 1994, the Paul Kerschensteiner Foundation has provided significant support to the state vocational school in Bad Überkingen and the DEHOGA Campus.

About Paul Kerschensteiner

Paul Kerschensteiner was part of the first group of students at the state vocational school in Bad Überkingen, founded in 1951. After completing his training as a chef, he gained extensive experience in international hospitality, working in France, England, Spain, Switzerland, and the USA. In 1973, he opened a successful hotel with conference facilities in Hockenheim.

In 1989, Kerschensteiner was elected President of the Hotel and Restaurant Association of Baden-Württemberg (DEHOGA). On his 60th birthday, he founded the Paul Kerschensteiner Foundation, which has been carried on by his wife, Toni, since his passing in 1995. His remarkable career in hospitality was defined by professionalism and openness to the world.
